They must hide their skin, if they ever wish to return to the sea. Otherwise, they forever are human……. there have been tales told of selkie and human forbidden love, the selkie would sacrifice its mystical ability to transform, by burning its selkie skin to forever live upon land with its human companion……. such mystical creatures……..<>
